Poison tells the story of Snow White, but not as you know her. In this contemporary re-imagining of the classic fairy tale, Snow White behaves slightly differently than you might expect – drinking beer with the dwarves being at top of the list. This modern take on the classic puts the characters you know and love in a whole new light, and of course, the passion and romance are very much still alive. Here at Gollancz Towers we adore this book and we hope you will too.

We’re also running a photo competition to win one of five signed copies of Poison. We’d like to see what Poison means to you, so we’re asking you to do us a solid and send in your photos of your modern-day interpretation of the Snow White tale. Feel free to add in any text you want, and any filters to make it look pretty. We’ve been having a go here at Gollancz Towers:
Send in your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ‘Poison’, including your postal details by midnight on Wednesday 17th April 2013. We’ll be sharing some of your entries on our Gollancz Dark Fantasy Tumblr, so let us know your Twitter or Tumblr handle so we can give you the credit you deserve, and if you don’t want to share it with the world just let us know in your email and you will still be eligible to enter to competition. Good luck – we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
