Neuromancer by William Gibson

The Hugo, Nebula and Philip K. Dick Award-winning novel that defined the Cyberpunk movement.

The sky above the port was the colour of television, tuned to a dead channel.

William Gibson revolutionised science fiction in his 1984 debut Neuromancer. The writer who gave us the matrix and coined the term ‘cyberspace’ produced a first novel that won the Hugo, Nebula and Philip K. Dick Awards, and lit the fuse on the Cyberpunk movement.

More than three decades later, Gibson’s text is as stylish as ever, his noir narrative still glitters like chrome in the shadows and his depictions of the rise and abuse of corporate power look more prescient every day. Part thriller, part warning,  Neuromancer is a timeless classic of modern SF and one of the 20th century’s most potent and compelling visions of the future.

‘A masterpiece that moves faster than the speed of thought and is chilling in its implications’ The New York Times

‘Set for brainstun . . . one of the most unusual and involving narratives to be read in many an artificially induced blue moon!’ The Times

‘Gibson is the Raymond Chandler of SF’ Observer

Neuromancer is available now in paperback and ebook.

Empire V by Victor Pelevin

Empire V is a post-modern, timely, whimsical and satirical story about a young man who involuntary joins a revolutionary cult . . .

Roman thought he’d found the perfect opportunity to rebel. He may have been wrong.

He awakens strapped to a set of parallel bars in a richly appointed sitting room, and begins a conversation with a masked man which will change his life. His world has been a facade – one which the mysterious Brahma is about to tear away.

A stunning novel about the real world, and about the hidden chanels of power behind the scenes, Empire V is a post-modern satirical novel exploring the cults and corruption of politics, banking and power. And not only are these cults difficult to join – it turns out they may be impossible to leave . . .

‘The core strength of Pelevin’s writing is its unruly, suggestive energy’ The Independent

‘A joy to read . . . Complex ideas are rendered simply and organically, never disturbing the narrative flow’ The New York Times

Empire V is available now in paperback and ebook

The Beauty of Destruction by Gavin Smith

In the past, present and future, humanity is under attack from a mysterious dark power. The invasion reaches its shattering conclusion in this epic space opera.

In the far future, after the Loss of Earth, war has begun and an unknowable alien race has awakened, intent on the destruction of everything.

Here and now, the end of the world has come. And the only way our species will survive is if two augmented humans can fight their way through apocalypse to a faint glimmer of hope.

Long ago, the seeds of that apocalypse were resisted by the warrior tribes of Britain, with devastating consequences for them and their lands.

And all three of these times will meet on another world . . .

‘Gavin Smith’s writing is a brutal kaleidoscope of imagination, with the raw energy of a heavy metal album cover: equally dazzling with bloodthirsty ancient Picts and the fallen post-humans of tomorrow’ Hannu Rajaniemi, author of The Causal Angel

‘In Gavin Smith an exceptional talent has arrived to uplift SF. The book is a master class of twisting plot lines that celebrate both the weird and astounding, amid a future that’s deeply unnerving yet equally compelling’ Peter F Hamilton

The Beauty of Destruction is available now in paperback and ebook

Allegiance of Honour by Nalini Singh

The ‘unparalleled romantic adventure’ of Nalini Singh’s New York Times bestselling series continues as a new dawn begins for the Psy-Changeling world . . .

The  Psy-Changeling world has undergone a staggering transformation and now  stands at a crossroads. The Trinity Accord promises a new era of  cooperation between disparate races and groups. It is a beacon of hope  held together by many hands: old enemies. New allies. Wary loners.

But  a century of distrust and suspicion can’t be so easily forgotten and  threatens to shatter Trinity from within at any moment. As rival members  vie for dominance, chaos and evil gather in the shadows and a kidnapped  woman’s cry for help washes up in San Francisco, while the Consortium  turns its murderous gaze toward a child who is the embodiment of change,  of love, of piercing hope: a child who is both Psy . . . and  changeling.

To find the lost, protect the vulnerable and save Trinity no one can stand alone. This is a time of loyalty across  divisions, of bonds woven into the heart and the soul, of heroes known  and unknown standing back to back and holding the line. But is an allegiance of honour even possible with traitors lurking in their midst?

‘It’s a given that when readers open up a Singh book they will be transported to a unique world filled with genuinely unforgettable characters. That those stories are also complex, action-packed and romantic in the extreme is why Singh’s novels never disappoint! Fabulous!’ Romantic Times

‘Paranormal romance at its best’ Publishers Weekly
