Gollancz are delighted to announce that Andrzej Sapkowski, author of the much bellowed Witcher series, inspiration behind The Witcher games, will be visiting the UK this March and touring around the country to meet fans and share all there is to know about Ciri, Yennefer, and Geralt of Rivia.

‘After walking through a portal in the Tower of the Swallow, thus narrowly escaping death, the Witcher girl, Ciri, finds herself in a completely different world. Time does not exist and there are no obvious borders or portals to cross back into her home world.
But this is Ciri, the childof prophecy, and she will not be defeated. She knows she must escape to finally re-join Geralt, the Witcher.’

Andrzej Sapkowski is one of Poland’s most successful authors, selling more in his own country than Stephen King or Michael Crichton. He has won numerous awards include the DAVID GEMMELL LEGEND AWARD and the GRAND PRIX DE L’IMAGINAIRE. Born in 1948 in Łódź, Sapkowski studied economy and worked as a financier until the success of his fantasy cycle about the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, turned him into a bestselling writer. His books have now been translated into almost 20 languages and The Witcher games, inspired by Sapkowski’s books, have sold over 20 million copies worldwide. A signed copy of one of his books was given to President Obama as a diplomatic gift by the Polish Prime Minister.
