The Non Trade Sales team represent HCG, Little, Brown, Orion, Hodder, Headline, John Murray Press, Quercus and Octopus publishing, maximizing incremental sales for the business in both the UK and Export markets.

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Non Trade team working on titles from across the Group’s lists.

The role is a temporary position fixed until 31/12/2019 and would suit somebody looking to start a career in sales in publishing.

What we are looking for

The most successful candidates will be an excellent communicator and have strong organisational skills, confidence working with multiple customers and internal stakeholders as well maintaining a consistent process for delivering orders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and publishing, pay close attention to detail, and be an excellent team player.

The key tasks of the role will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assisting the Non Trade team with customer queries.
  • Processing basic orders through the warehouse.
  • Updating the sales trackers with order information, when required to do so.
  • Downloading images and Information sheets from Biblio for account managers and customers.
  • Help with meeting preparation and samples.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) are essential.
