Following on from our publication of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Colouring Book and the Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Collector’s Edition 2017 Calendar, we have more good news for fans of fantasy’s greatest flat earth:
Announcing the illustrated eBook edition of
Terry Pratchett & Paul Kidby‘s The Last Hero!
For those of you unfamiliar with this glorious trip through the Discworld . . .
The Last Hero: a ‘Discworld novel with pictures’ – the 27th instalment in the fantasy series that has made Terry Pratchett an international superstar. A short but perfectly-formed complete Discworld novel, fully illustrated in lavish colour throughout by Sir Terry Pratchett’s artist of choice, Paul Kidby , The Last Hero is an essential part of any Discworld collection.
The Last Hero stars the legendary Cohen the Barbarian, a legend in his own lifetime. Cohen can remember when a hero didn’t have to worry about fences and lawyers and civilisation, and when people didn’t tell you off for killing dragons. But he can’t always remember, these days, where he put his teeth . . .
So now, with his ancient sword and his new walking stick and his old friends – and they’re very old friends – Cohen the Barbarian is going on one final quest. He’s going to climb the highest mountain in the Discworld and meet his gods. The last hero in the world is going to return what the first hero stole. With a vengeance.
That’ll mean the end of the world, if no one stops him in time.
We know a lot of people have been waiting for this so we’re delighted to be able to make them all happy. It took us some time to produce a version that didn’t have a ridiculously large file size, but we got there in the end. (We can neither confirm nor deny that iPads and Kindles were crashed and editors were heard to utter some very bad words during testing of this eBook.)
The Last Hero is published as an eBook on 1st September, 2016.
