Patrick Rothfuss

Patrick Rothfuss had the good fortune to be born in Wisconsin in 1973, where the long winters and lack of cable television encouraged a love of reading and writing. After abandoning his chosen field of chemical engineering, Pat became an itinerant student, wandering through clinical psychology, philosophy, medieval history, theater, and sociology. Nine years later, Pat was forced by university policy to finally complete his undergraduate degree in English. When not reading and writing, he teaches fencing and dabbles with alchemy in his basement.

Gillian Redfearn is the Deputy Publishing Director. She joined the team in 2004 and isn't sure she's left the office since. She loves travel, challenges and good fantasy novels, hates being bored and is largely ambivalent about chocolate. I wasn’t surprised to find NOTW in the top 10, but it shpws what an active fanbase can do. Rothfuss has one of the best groups of supporters around, and I am proud to be one. I already have my copies, shipped all the way over the US. I hope this special edition causes more losts souls to accept the King’s coin and join up with the Rothfuss army.
